Netflix Selects Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The platform declared recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to change into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member is joined by multiple new cast members who will portray the organization to life, including chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although the role is a important part of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
